TABULA, the collection of interior coverings born from the recovery of recycled paper at the end of its life, developed by Sapiens in collaboration with Honext®, will be exhibited during Milan Design Week 2026, from April 20 to 26, at the Le Cavallerizze Hangar of the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.

A concrete opportunity to see and touch an innovative 100% circular and carbon negative material, certified Cradle to Cradle® Gold, which redefines the standards of sustainable interior design in the contract, retail and residential sectors.

“Écorché — Anatomia di un Mobile”, the exhibition that houses the TABULA collection of eco-sustainable coatings.

“Écorché — Anatomy of a Mobile” is the curatorial exhibition presented during Milan Design Week 2026, curated by OOCCA (production lead) and Matterialista (co-production).

“Écorché starts from a simple premise: sustainability is not a label. It’s a structure.

In a panorama saturated with materials, certifications and declarations, the exhibition strips the furniture down to its anatomy. It reveals what usually remains hidden —material choices, construction logic, production systems and methods of use— and asks a direct question: what really makes an object durable?

The exhibition journey moves from fragmentation to clarity, culminating in the assembled object, where durability, performance, and lifetime value become visible, measurable, and verifiable.

Écorché brings together designers, manufacturers, and materials innovators to examine the structures behind furniture and question the systems that shape its future. An exhibition that doesn’t talk about finite objects, but about the intelligence embedded in them: because to build a more responsible project culture, we must first understand the anatomy of the objects we create.

It is in this context that Sapiens presents TABULA: the new collection of interior coverings made with the innovative eco-sustainable and circular fiberboard from Honext®, which was born from the recovery of recycled paper at the end of its life.

Touching TABULA means understanding this innovative and sustainable material: non-toxic, emission-free, fire-certified, sound-absorbing, carbon-negative, suitable for bioarchitecture, and knowing a collection of circular panels for eco-design, customizable in decorations, colors, prints, and sizes, easy to install and remove, compatible with the highest environmental certification standards.

“Circularity does not begin at the time of recycling. Start at design time.” — Manifest Écorché, Milano Design Week 2026
