The color contrast able to dress the everyday

In this Swiss villa the use of ARDES FLAME CLADDING has allowed to build a marked distance of tone between the white walls of the exterior plasters with the warm tones of burnt wood, thus building a visual rhythm that characterizes the entire structure.

objective

In Pool Villa the client needed to recreate an outdoor space that was not represented by the usual modern materials used in construction in the canton of Bellinzona in Switzerland. The owners’ deep passion for wood was the starting point of the project itself, but the fear of constant maintenance was the brake. After a long research and analysis, the unavoidable choice was the fire treatment carried out on many sections of the external walls of the residence in addition to walls with light coat. Great thermal differences were present between the cold of winter and a warm summer climate and stability was therefore a necessary requirement. The doubts of leaching of the charred part under the rains were a risk that the owners did not want to run.

of intervention

After the necessary technical reassurances, it was therefore decided to adopt the ARDES FLAME CLADDING collection in burnt larch wood and treated with Carbon Black color for the parts of the central body and also for the entrance door. Given the perfect result of the first installation after a few months we opted to expand the installation in the side fences of the pool, in the perimeter walls and in the driveway entrance door with slats finished in 4 sides to allow the presence of Carbon Black finish on all sides (both from inside the villa and from outside the road). The material has been processed on special sizes and formats at the request of the designers.
